These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of VerifyClients.com ("VerifyClients," "we," "our," or "us"), operated by Canada Safety Verification Network. By accessing or using our platform in any way β including browsing, registering, submitting reports, or purchasing a membership β you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use this platform.

Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VerifyClients.com in any capacity β whether as a visitor, free member, or paid subscriber β you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Canada Safety Verification Network. If you are using the platform on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform following notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. See Section 18 for details on how we notify you of material changes.
Description of Service
VerifyClients provides a mutual safety verification platform for independent professionals and their clients in Canada. Our services include:
- Phone Number & Email Lookup: Anonymous cross-referencing of identifiers against our community safety database
- Safety Flag Network: A crowd-sourced, fully anonymized system for community members to submit and receive safety signals
- Safety Ratings: Aggregated community-based ratings (Clear, Caution, Flagged, High Risk) based on anonymized report counts
- Member Profiles: Optional verified identity badges for members who complete our verification flow
- Safety Alerts: City-based safety notifications relevant to your area and role
- Member Dashboard: A private portal to access all safety tools and manage your account
Our service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access and reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice.
Eligibility
To use VerifyClients you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be at least 19 years of age
- Be a resident of Canada or accessing the platform for use within Canada
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
- Not be prohibited from using the platform under any applicable law
- Not have had a previous account terminated for violating these Terms
- Use the platform only for lawful purposes as described in these Terms
Account Registration
To access member features you must register for an account. By registering you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated
- Maintain the confidentiality of your password and account credentials
- Be solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- Notify us immediately at support@verifyclients.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account
- Not create multiple accounts or create an account on behalf of another person without their consent
- Not use a false identity or misrepresent your role or purpose on the platform
We reserve the right to refuse registration or cancel any account at our sole discretion, including if we believe the information provided is inaccurate, incomplete, or in violation of these Terms.
Membership Plans & Payments
VerifyClients offers the following membership tiers:
- Free: 3 lookups per day, submit reports, view basic alerts
- Verified Member ($19/month CAD): 18 lookups per day, full report details, city-wide alerts
- Premium Member ($49/month CAD): Unlimited lookups, Canada-wide alerts, priority verified badge, affiliate program access
- Verification Badge ($20 one-time): Verify your number and receive the official verification badge as a client
- Yearly Pro ($99/year): Verification badge + full access to search professionals' phone numbers
- Client Founders Lifetime ($100 one-time): Lifetime access to Founders pages, no recurring fees
- Professional Founders Lifetime ($50 one-time): Lifetime access to Founders pages for independent professionals
Billing terms:
- All paid plans are billed monthly in advance in Canadian dollars (CAD)
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe β we do not store your payment information
- Your subscription auto-renews each month unless cancelled before the renewal date
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings β cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days written notice to your registered email
Refund policy:
- We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first month of any paid plan
- After 7 days all payments are non-refundable
- No refunds are issued for partial months or unused lookups
- Accounts terminated for violations of these Terms are not eligible for refunds
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use VerifyClients only for its intended purpose β mutual safety verification between independent professionals and clients. Specifically you agree to:
- Use the platform honestly and in good faith at all times
- Submit safety reports only based on your own direct personal experience
- Use lookup results only to make informed personal safety decisions β not for harassment, stalking, or targeting individuals
- Maintain the accuracy of your profile and not misrepresent your identity or role
- Respect the privacy and safety of all other users and individuals in the database
- Comply with all applicable Canadian federal and provincial laws
Prohibited Conduct
The following actions are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and may result in legal action:
Legal violations:
- Using the platform to facilitate, advertise, solicit, or arrange any illegal activity including but not limited to paid sexual services, drug transactions, or fraud
- Using the platform in any way that violates the Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act (PCEPA)
- Using lookup results to stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate any individual
- Submitting false or malicious reports about individuals you know to be false
- Using the platform to facilitate identity theft, fraud, or scams
- Violating any applicable Canadian privacy law including PIPEDA
Platform abuse:
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from our database
- Using automated bots, scripts, or crawlers to access the platform
- Attempting to circumvent security measures or gain unauthorized access
- Creating fake accounts or impersonating other members
- Submitting reports to artificially inflate a person's safety rating or damage a competitor
- Selling or sharing your account credentials with any third party
- Using the platform to build a competing service or extract our database
Safety Reports β Rules & Liability
Our Safety Flag Network depends on members submitting honest, good-faith reports based on their own experiences. By submitting a safety report you agree to the following:
- The report is based on your own direct personal experience β not hearsay, rumour, or information from a third party
- The information you submit is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge
- You are not submitting the report out of malice, revenge, or personal dispute unrelated to safety
- You understand that reports are stored anonymously and cannot be individually deleted once submitted
- You accept full legal responsibility for the content of any report you submit
If you believe a report submitted about you is false or malicious you may request a review by contacting us at reports@verifyclients.com. We will investigate all complaints within 14 business days and remove reports that clearly violate these Terms.
Safety Flag Network β Important Disclaimer
By using our Safety Flag Network β whether to perform a lookup or view safety ratings β you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Safety ratings are based solely on anonymized community-contributed reports and do not constitute a legal finding, criminal record check, police clearance, background check, or professional assessment of any kind
- A "Clear" rating does not guarantee that a person is safe β it means no reports have been submitted to our database
- A "Flagged" or "High Risk" rating does not prove that a person has done anything wrong β it reflects community reports that may be incomplete, inaccurate, or submitted in bad faith
- You are solely responsible for all personal safety decisions you make based on information from our platform
- VerifyClients is a supplementary safety tool β it does not replace common sense, professional security advice, or official background check services
- We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any safety rating or report
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality on VerifyClients β including but not limited to the website design, logo, text, graphics, software, database structure, and safety rating system β are the exclusive property of Canada Safety Verification Network and are protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property law.
- You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on our platform without our express written permission
- You may not use our logo, name, or trademarks without prior written consent
- You may not scrape or extract data from our platform for any purpose
- Your member account and profile do not give you any ownership rights in our platform or data
By submitting content to our platform (including safety reports) you grant VerifyClients a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, store, and display that content in anonymized form as part of our safety database, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
Privacy
Your use of VerifyClients is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information in accordance with PIPEDA and applicable Canadian privacy law.
By using our platform you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our privacy practices, please do not use the platform.
Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW, VERIFYCLIENTS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We specifically disclaim all warranties including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Warranties that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any safety rating, report, or alert
- Warranties that the platform will meet your specific requirements
- Warranties that any defects will be corrected
You acknowledge that your use of the platform and reliance on any information provided through it is entirely at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW, CANADA SAFETY VERIFICATION NETWORK, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM.
This limitation applies to damages arising from:
- Any personal harm, injury, or safety incident that occurs despite your use of our platform
- Reliance on any safety rating, report, or alert provided through our platform
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the service
- Any inaccurate, false, or misleading information submitted by other users
- Any other matter relating to your use of the platform
In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you exceed the greater of $100 CAD or the total amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Canada Safety Verification Network and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or relating to:
- Your use or misuse of the platform
- Your violation of these Terms
- Any safety report you submit including any claim that it is false or defamatory
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Your violation of any third party's rights including privacy rights
- Any activity on your account whether or not authorized by you
Account Termination
Termination by you:
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at support@verifyclients.com. Deletion takes effect within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for data retention details following deletion.
Termination by us:
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have:
- Violated any provision of these Terms
- Submitted false, malicious, or fraudulent safety reports
- Used the platform for any illegal purpose
- Provided false registration information
- Created multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Engaged in any conduct harmful to the platform or its members
- Failed to pay any amounts due for a paid subscription
Effect of termination:
- Access to the platform and all member features will cease immediately
- Anonymized safety reports you submitted cannot be removed from the database as they are not linked to your identity
- No refunds will be issued for terminations due to Terms violations
- Sections 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 17 of these Terms survive termination
PCEPA & Legal Compliance
VerifyClients is designed and operated in full compliance with the Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act (PCEPA) and all applicable Canadian federal and provincial legislation.
We actively monitor for and will immediately terminate accounts suspected of violating PCEPA. We will cooperate fully with Canadian law enforcement in any investigation related to PCEPA violations or any other criminal activity.
Users found to be using our platform in violation of PCEPA will be permanently banned, their information will be preserved for potential law enforcement disclosure, and we reserve the right to proactively report suspected criminal activity to the appropriate authorities.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute resolution:
- Step 1 β Contact us first: Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us at legal@verifyclients.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will respond within 15 business days.
- Step 2 β Mediation: If informal resolution fails, both parties agree to attempt mediation through a mutually agreed mediator in Ontario before initiating litigation.
- Step 3 β Litigation: If mediation is unsuccessful, any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis only β you may not bring claims as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative action.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive or other equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. When we make material changes we will:
- Post the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last Updated" date
- Send an email notification to all registered members at least 14 days before the changes take effect
- Display a prominent notice on our website for 30 days after the change
- Where required by law, seek your explicit consent before applying material changes
Your continued use of VerifyClients after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms you must stop using the platform and may delete your account.
For minor changes (such as corrections, clarifications, or non-material updates) we may update the Terms without individual notification. We always recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.
